Greetings! I have a SpeedTalk GSM Mobile card that has 4 months prepaid available, and I would like to use this in my GT-001 Tracker.
I am able to use the basic SMS commands to retrieve location and status, and now would like to use the live data at the web site / Android app.

for example 123 works, and #TCP# works. - #TCP# had an invalid APN and IP.

Using the commands I found at https://fccid.io/2AIW9-G...User-manual-3166509.pdf,
I've noticed the manual is wrong --
Here's what works:
I have set my APN ( used "APN,_myapn,,#) - (you must use the extra ",," or else I got a FORMAT WRONG.
I have set my IP (used " IP X.X.X.X,PORT#)

When I issue the #TCP# now, I get:
" [IMEI]:XXXXXXXXX
SOCKET:0 Fail!!
APN: myapn
IP: X.X.X.X
: 7700 (my correct IP Port)
SENSOR:5/0
GPS:V
"

Can you tell me what else I need to set so that I can use this known good 2G GSM card to get live data and use http://gps.ablegrid.com/tracking.php#

THANKS in Advance !!!

I just realized setting an IP to something other than "da.ablegrid.com:9876" was a mistake.

I've set my IP back to "da.ablegrid.com:9876" and issued a reset as well as power cycling the GT-001.

I'm still getting Socket:0 Fail!!

" [IMEI]:XXXXXXXXX
SOCKET:0 Fail!!
APN: myapn
IP: da.ablegrid.com:9876"
SENSOR:5/0
"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Firstly, please contact your sim card carrier to check if the sim card includes the data plan.

The next step is making an account at gps.ablegrid.com and adding your tracker to the platform once you confirmed your sim card do have the data plan.

Here is the detailed video tutorial to set up live tracking:

Thanks

Thank You for the fast reply;
Yes, I bought 3 identical SIM cards, and they are working fine (yes - have data plan) in a competitor GPS tracker.
I did establish an account at gps.ablegrid.com and added my tracker to the platform

-- This is how I knew the unit is not communicating.

1) Can you please tell us what "SOCKET:0 Fail!!" means ? - IT is returned when I SMS "#TCP# to the ablegrid.

2) Is there a list of GT-001 SMS commands you can share with the forum

3) Could you provide an output of #TCP# for a working ablegrid GT-001?

Thanks Again!

Thank You Shirley.
SMS mode was always working.

I think everything is working.
--In my defense, I just did much of this on a different GPS tracker and thought live data would be always available.
As soon as I sent the wkmd,0#20# the Socket:0 Fail! changed to Socket:4 Link!
(I think this is the equivalent of enabling GPRS data on "other" Trackers.)
At that point I was also able to observe the connection status on gps.ablegrid.com/tracking site, as well as on my android.

Android app also now shows battery status too.
