Finally,
we tested our LTE-M , Cat-M1 IoT tracker.
comparing to the regular tracker, here is advantage and disadvantage:
Cons: no SMS service, no voice, so you can not use this type of tracker to track by SMS , and no voice monitoring feature
Prons: 1)upto 5 years standby time, at the mode, upload the location once a day, but you don't need to activate the sim card, just buy our tracker, and hide somewhere in the car/asset, when it is lost/stolen, just goto our platform and activate the sim card,
and the recovery can be done as soon as the tracker send the first location data. thanks for our never-expire sim card even you don't need to activate it.
you only buy a hardware tracker, no any monthly fee
2)quickly change the mode, any tracking mode, which will affect the standby time, eg, only when you want to track , you can change its mode, otherwise, just leave it and let the tracker save the power.
this is not new feature , but with LTE-M CAT-M, it will have much more reliable networks, our sim card can pickup tmobile, ATT, verizon network automatically when current network fails, and most important it will consume less power , so make this feature enhanced , so you will get more standby time, based on our testing, with the same capacity battery, there is 3-4 times longer standby time when comparing to the regular 2G or LTE trackers.
3)totally mulit-network, globally
with our global version IoT tracker, you can use it globally without need to change the sim card, one tracker, our sim card, use it anywhere in this earth as long as there is Cat-M1 LTE-M NB-IoT network .
